Life is precious, from conception up until natural death. Unfortunately, Finnish law does not protect the sanctity of life. According to current law, abortion is available in practice until 12 weeks, with special permission until 20 weeks, and, in the case of a disabled fetus, until 24 weeks. | The Lord called me before I was born, while I was in my mother’s womb he named me. |
The current Finnish abortion law is unacceptable, as the sanctity of life should be protected from its beginning at conception, until its natural end. In the year 2017, as many as 9,360 children were aborted in Finland - that is 9,360 children too many! Fetuses are human from the moment of conception, so why does the law not protect the most vulnerable members of society? And why are we not saying anything about it? |
